Adventure in the heart of Lapland (3 days)

We will drive with snowmobiles about 50 KM north from Rovaniemi, to a traditional Finnish cottage* situated on the shore of lake Kontojärvi, in the heart of Lapland. The snowmobile tracks follow a beautiful route, across lakes and forest.

Once there, we will enjoy a wood-heated sauna followed by a delicious dinner. In the evening, we will go for a walk on the frozen lake to look out for Northern lights.

On the next day, after a nice breakfast, we will go for a 2.5 hour snowshoeing trek and enjoy a snack at a fire place with a magnificent view above Kontojärvi and the surrounding hills.

In the afternoon, we will have various snow activities, including ice-fishing in lake Kontojärvi. The evening will be spent around the fire place and I will tell stories about Lappish culture and traditions.

The third day, we will go for an exotic ride on sleigh pulled by finnish horses and then we will head back to Rovaniemi on snowmobiles.

Departure between 9 and 11 a.m. and return after 2 days in the afternoon (minimum 4 persons / maximum 6 persons).

Price per person is EUR 615,- (VAT included). Price includes all the equipment (2 persons per snowmobile), winter clothing, food and linen at the cottage.

A husky ride can be added as an option to the program, on the way back to Rovaniemi. Ask for prices separately!

*the cottage is fully equipped and furnished, with outdoor ecotoilet, no shower but cleaning possibilities in the sauna room.
