Authentic activity holidays in Lapland (5 days)

The first 3 days are spent in a traditional Finnish cottage*, situated on the shore of lake Kontojärvi, in the heart of Lapland, 45 KM North of Rovaniemi. First, we will get by snowmobiles from Rovaniemi, through lakes and forests, to the cottage. Once there, we will enjoy a wood-heated sauna followed by a delicious dinner. In the evening, we will go for a walk on the frozen lake to look out for Northern lights.

On the next day, after a nice breakfast, we will go for a 2.5 hour snowshoeing trek and enjoy a snack at a fire place with a magnificent view above Kontojärvi and the surrounding hills.

In the afternoon, we will do various snow activities, including ice-fishing in lake Kontojärvi. The evening will be spent around the fire place and I will tell stories about Lappish culture and traditions.

The third day, we will go for a ride on a sleigh pulled by finnish horses and then head back to Rovaniemi on snowmobiles.

On day 4, after a good night of sleep in a B&B at walking distance from the centre of Rovaniemi, we will go into the heart of Lapland's wilderness where you will drive your own sledge pulled by huskies for 20 KM.

On day 5, we will head north from Rovaniemi and experience an 8KM reindeer ride in the middle of Arctic nature.

Departure between 9 and 11 a.m. on day 1 (minimum 4 persons / maximum 6 persons).

Price per person is EUR 1105,- (VAT included). Price includes all the equipment (2 persons per snowmobile), winter clothing, linen at the cottage and food except for evening meals of day 3 and 4 when guests have free evening program. The accommodation on day 3 and 4 is Bed and Breakfast in Rovaniemi.

Programs included in this package can be adjusted according to the time and budget visitors wish to spend on each activity. Further details on different options are available on request.

*the cottage is fully equipped and furnished, with outdoor ecotoilet, no shower but cleaning possibilities in the sauna room.
